Our Pastors

Pastor Henkelmann has been the lead pastor at the Edmonton Church of God since early 2024. Before that, he served as the associate pastor starting in December 2022. From 2016 to 2022, he pastored the Chilliwack Church of God, and prior to that, he completed the pastoral mentorship program and served as interim pastor in the Edmonton congregation from 2013 to 2016. Both he and his wife, Stefanie, grew up in the Edmonton congregation and are thrilled to be serving here once again.

Pastor Makus worked for many years as an owner of an autobody business before being called into ministry as a fulltime Pastor. He has served as a pastor in Wetaskiwin, AB, Steinbach, MB, and Swartz Creek, MI, USA. Together with his wife, pastor Makus is our pastor of seniors ministry visiting our elderly congregants, encouraging them and strengthening them in their faith, many of which can no longer attend services in person, and tends faithfully to their needs.
